Balance assessments and strength programs for older adults, delivered in your own home. We look at the rooms you actually move through, the steps you actually take, and build a program around them.
Most people we see aren't looking for a gym program. They want to feel steady getting out of a chair, walking to the letterbox, or managing the back step without holding their breath.
A recent fall - even one without injury - is one of the clearest signals that balance and strength need attention.
Fear of falling often leads to doing less, which reduces strength further. We work on confidence alongside physical capacity.
Shuffling, holding furniture, or slowing down are worth assessing properly rather than accepting as part of ageing.
Strength and balance drop quickly during illness or a hospital stay. Early rehabilitation at home helps recover it.
We use recognised, validated outcome measures so progress is objective and can be shared with your care team and GP.
A standardised assessment of balance across everyday tasks - standing, turning, reaching and transferring - that gives us a clear baseline to measure against.
A simple timed measure of standing, walking and turning that helps us track mobility change over the course of a program.
Rugs, lighting, thresholds, bathroom access and furniture heights - we assess the space you live in, not a clinic.
Footwear, mobility aids, previous falls, pain and activity levels all feed into the plan and any referrals we suggest.
Assessment, outcome measures, and a conversation about the activities you want to feel safe doing again.
Balance and progressive strength exercises using the space, chairs and benches you already have.
Your physiotherapist progresses the program as you improve, with family or carers welcome to join.
We repeat the outcome measures and share written progress with your coordinator and care team.
Our services can be covered under your Home Care Package or Support at Home funding. If you're unsure, your coordinator can confirm what's available in your plan.
Level 1–4 package holders can access falls prevention physiotherapy. We work directly with your provider on referral and invoicing.
Available under the Support at Home program. Contact us or your coordinator to discuss eligibility and arranging a referral.
Get in touch directly, or ask your care coordinator to refer you. We service South East Melbourne and are happy to answer questions first.
